Also known as dustless blasting, wet abrasive blasting, vapour honing and a few others, will remove & strip paint/coatings, contaminants, corrosion and residues from hard surfaces. It’s similar to dry blasting, except that the blast media (abrasive) is moistened prior to impacting the surface. 

A main advantage of our mobile vapour blasting over other blast systems is that it reduces dust by 92%, allowing a wide range of operating environments with minimal setup and clean-up. It results in a clean finish with no embedded particles or clinging dust.

Water plus an abrasive are combined in a pot under water pressure, then injected into the airflow. Rust, paint, corrosion, grime comes off with no heat produced & a low pressure relative to normal abrasive dry blasting i.e. Sandblasting, Bead Blasting & Soda Blasting. When wet abrasive impacts a surface, fine particles are sequestered in water droplets, additional water weighs the particles down, preventing dust. This process will not alter, bend or ripple thin alloys or steel i.e. caravan bodies or your classic car. Also a good alternative to Water Cutting which is at a very high pressure.

With 2 mobile units the applications are not only endless but fast. A range of blasting pressures & medias for the finer detail work & delicate surfaces right through to heavy industrial steel blasting. We use Garnet (rock mineral) and Glass Beads for different surfaces to achieve the desired finish, these along with the 94% reduction on airborne dust makes for an Eco-Friendly and safe solution.
 Being Self Contained Mobile Units with 40m+ of blast hose we can restore/strip surfaces almost anywhere. With units based in Taupo and Rotorua we are never far away. Confined spaces or at heights aren't an issue due to the dustless approach & simple containment/clean up. Full onsite painting & protective coatings service available.
