Also known as dustless blasting, wet abrasive blasting, or vapour honing, this process uses a combination of water and abrasive media to strip paint, corrosion, contaminants, and residues safely. Unlike dry blasting methods, the abrasive is moistened before impact, drastically reducing airborne dust and ensuring delicate surfaces like caravan bodies, classic cars, or thin alloys remain undamaged.
Unlike traditional dry blasting methods such as sandblasting, bead blasting, or soda blasting, vapour blasting operates at a lower pressure and produces no heat, significantly reducing the risk of surface damage. Water and abrasive media are combined under pressure before being injected into the airflow, allowing contaminants such as rust, paint, corrosion, grease, and grime to be removed efficiently while preventing airborne dust.
Fine particles are captured within water droplets on impact, reducing dust by up to 94% and leaving behind a clean, smooth finish with no embedded media or clinging dust. This process will not warp, ripple, or damage thin alloys or steel, making it ideal for classic cars, caravans, marine components, and delicate metal surfaces.
